Dear hearties, friends of flying heads and furious posters,
fühlt euch herzlichst zum 100 Poster Club eingeladen! Nachdem wir Clubs lieben (denkt an den berühmtberüchtigten PostProloClub), freuen wir uns ganz außerordentlich bekanntzugeben, dass es jetzt noch mehr davon gibt und dass es jetzt nur um Poster und Limo geht.
Dear hearties, friends of flying heads and furious posters,
please feel hotly invited to the 100 Poster Club! Since we love clubs (remember, remember the infamous PostProloClub) we are awfully happy to announce that there will be more and this time it’s all about posters and limo. Most importantly the 100 Poster Club is a tribute to the wonderful VBKÖ for being around for 100 years now.
Noch wichtiger aber ist, dass der 100 Poster Club ein Tribut an die wundervolle VBKÖ ist und dafür, dass sie jetzt seit 100 Jahren da ist. Der Club ist da, um sich zu treffen und zu plaudern und um unsere Gedanken, Haltungen, Staments und Wünsche auf Papier und auf die Strassen Wiens zu bringen.
Idealerweise wird er bis 1. April 2011 alle zwei Wochen stattfinden. Um es einfach zu machen, werden wir Basiswerkzeug, unerlässliches Posterwissen und viele andere verschwenderische Annehmlichkeiten zur Verfügung stellen. Und wir werden jedes Mal ein Motto aus dem großen Weltwundertopf vorschlagen. Für jeden Club gelten 9 Regeln. Und damit ihr wisst, wovon wir sprechen, hier sind sie von unserem letzten Club (der vor zwei Wochen stattfand):
1: don’t stop the hip hop
2: ice ice baby (es gibt tutti frutti becher)
3: hot topic – make a poster 4 your ur most desired revolution
4: der club heisst nicht Printers Club, sondern 100 Poster Club
5: Männer müssen Stöckelschuhe tragen
6: keep a hot head!
7. technikshow: cutouts und collagen (don’t forget to bring your hot stuff for the cutouts)
8: wir trinken eisgekühlte coca-cola und Pfefferminzlimo
9: einmal die Stunde wird ice ice baby von Vanilla Ice gespielt
Und um sicher zu gehen, dass wir auch genügend klebriges Zeug zum Drinken da haben, schickt uns jetzt eine Email und lasst uns wissen wann ihr kommt – zum nächsten Club, oder zum übernächsten…

Der nächste Club findet am Sonntag den 25. Juli 2010 um 17:00 statt!
Anlässlich des Jahrhundertjubiläums wird über das Jahr ein Programm präsentiert, das sich aus theoretischen Aktivitäten und einer sich erweiternden Jahresausstellung zusammensetzt. Aktuell sind Beiträge von 100 Poster Club, Amanda Amaan/Rudolfine Lackner, Elke Auer/Esther Straganz, Linda Bilda, Veronika Dirnhofer, Lina Dokuzovic, Drogerie und Nino Jaeger zu sehen. Alle Aktivitäten nehmen Bezug auf die historische Herkunft der VBKÖ im Außen androzentrischer Institutionstotalitäten und auf aktuelle Anknüpfungspunkte vorwiegend feministisch geprägten Widerstands.

The club is there to meet and chat and bring our thoughts, attitudes, statements and wishes on paper and on the streets of Vienna. Ideally it will take place every two weeks until April 1st 2011. To make it easy we will provide the basic tools, indispensable poster knowledge and many other wasteful amenities. And we will each time propose a topic out of the big wonder world pot. For every club there are 9 rules to be announced. So that you know what we are talking about, here they are from our pilot episode (that took place a week ago):

On the occasion of the centennial anniversary, a program for the year will be presented, which is composed of theoretical activities and a growing annual exhibition. Currently, works by 100 Poster Club, Amanda Amaan/Rudolfine Lackner, Elke Auer/Esther Straganz, Linda Bilda, Veronika Dirnhofer, Lina Dokuzovic, Drogerie and Nino Jaeger are on display. All of the activities refer to the historical origin of the VBKÖ in the androcentric totalities of institutions and to current links of resistance predominantly imprinted by feminism.
