This seems all topsy turvy or oolta phoolta: In Alice in Wonderland the reader encounters two furry companions who are more or less out of bounds. The very white rabbit who is always running late, ready to serve its sovereign, and the other which is no less all over the place: the March Hare. Boozing pal of the Crazy Hatter. A hare that is constantly and only ridiculing imperial or colonial oompah: High Tea. His watch is always set at 5 o’clock and his cup is never empty.  The exhibition GAY AS A MARCH HARE IN FALL plays with all kinds of expectations. Queering sculptural ideas and redirecting the gaze play a part in the heavily humorous works – spilling over with satire and happy acid imagery.
