Self-care under neoliberal circumstances means something different for the affluent and the precarious. For the latter, survival in times of multiple crises is already distressing, maintaining the practice of self-care results in more challenges. By stressing the emancipatory potential of feminist self-care, we want to subvert neoliberal notions of “self-carishness”. The artistic contributions are diverse and include performative, auditory, and haptic impulses. 

I KNOW I CARE is a feminist collective of women from different ethnic, cultural, and professional backgrounds working on topics of female* reproductive labor, feminist empowerment, and different aspects of unpaid care work. We work on cooperative and non-hierarchical forms of exchange.
